  1. My account has been messed up thru your company!!! Someone has punched in wrong data!!! This is in regards to my extra help on prescriptions you say I don’t have. I have contacted Social Security, Kan-care in Kansas and Wellcare!!!!!!! I DO HAVE EXTRA HELP!!!!!! My meds for blood thinners is $500.00 dollars without the extra help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   2. I just got word from Wellcare (a misnomer if ever there was one) that I have been terminated from my Medicare Part “D” Plan, & am ineligible for reinstatement.

    Why, you ask?

    WTF??!! Apparently my automatic payment was not going through (unbeknownst to me). I received no warnings nor prompts to pay via any route. No letter, no email, nothing.

    How do we allow this bullsh*t as a country?! It’s as if insurance companies WANT to cut you off and deny you. It’s as if they are trying to find a way to terminate you & leave you without coverage. Does doing this make them more profitable?! It must, for that’s the only explanation that comes to mind.

    No matter what the reason is for non-payment, wouldn’t it make more sense to let the customer PAY THE ARREARS, rather than summarily cut them off with no recourse?!!

    And BTW – WHY is it SO PUNITIVE to get on a health care plan OUTSIDE of an arbitrary enrollment period? Of course, it’s understood the general idea is that the more people in the pool at once, (ostensibly) the less cost.

    If this is the case however, REFUSING to allow the customer to pay off the outstanding premium(s) refutes this premise. Disallowing the customer any remedy means the Insurance Company EATS IT (the error), instead of covering the cost. So, remind me again; what is the purpose/end goal of all this nonsense?!!

    How the hell does this make logical sense?! If we’re not covered, we can’t pay for necessary medication. If we don’t get this medication, we’ll be LESS FUNCTIONAL than we otherwise might be, & therefore less able to contribute to society.

    How the F does this pass for smart economic decision-making?! On any CEO’s, CFO’s, or Government’s part?!

    The whole thing is outrageous & intolerable in its inefficiency, incoherence, & inherent unfairness.

    • I’m helping my mother through the SAME EXACT THING right now. It is maddening! These people are inhumane and they sent me in circles all day long, passing the buck between departments and Social Security and Medicare. Awful!!

  3. Wellcare customer service is very lax. I am speaking with someone I cannot understand who keeps repeating things that don’t help me I have been on the phone for an hour Gabriel the first person I talked to was great he passed me on to a supervisor. She is not helpful. My husband just recovered from COVID he has AFIB and several other ailments which he takes medicine for. I am being told this is being escalated could take 30 days for something we didn’t do. We did not change our address we have lived here 33 years and why would we change it to Chicago of all places since Wellcare isn’t even in that area. I had to take a day off work and still need to wait to hear about this it is inforgiveable and unacceptable.

  4. We have been very dissatisfied with being part of their network as a provider- anything other than a simple office visit is almost impossible to get paid. They want you to mail in all your medical records and it takes centuries to get payments on simple surgeries- we will be requesting to become out of network with them but after calling them to find out how to request they told me someone would call me back in 10 to 14 business days regarding this matter. As a biller- I am SO READY to be done dealing with this company!
