Why is it that lyft has these rental programs that are taking advantage of there drivers when you return these cars I don’t appreciate being ripped off by the job that Iam doing flex drive is a horrible program for drivers to have to experience if you don’t have a car they gave me a car that was damaged then charged me for someone else’s damages when bringing the car back after telling me I wouldn’t be charged and when I asked for another vehicle that wasn’t damaged they responded saying this is all we have after taking the deposit and putting it on hold on my credit card then they return the deposit on the 6th of April after they claim I did all these damages and they took 451.00 and sent a email saying they only took 375.00 when really they took 451.00 smh it’s no wonder drivers are quitting I love this job been doing it since 2018 but enough is enough my tips have been taken Iam highly upset because lyft does not treat there employees good at all

EXACTLY!!!! I’m a 5-Star driver and they got me for $1,100+ during the first two weeks then $420 weekly after that and then I got sick and was in the hospital and when I got out I’d been forced to move and had all my personal belongings in the Ioniq; my yearbooks, prescriptions, RX glasses and contact lenses, clothing, shoes, and literally everything I own & they came and took the vehicle with all of my belongings and it’s been weeks without me knowing where they are or what they did with them despite me continuing to reach out to Lyft.
Now I’ve been homeless and starving for the past few weeks. Way to treat your employees – not to mention I’m a 5-Star driver too!! Thanks Lyft lol

Normally when the a driver gets a bad rating Lyft support will send a email asking about a incident I been driving for 3 years and this happened to me so when I spoke to a live safety rep I was told about a report from a rider and when I remembered that ride i gave my side and my account was reactivated the riders will make up stuff just to try get reimbursed for a ride by making false statements about the driver in the future Keith to avoid this next time start gaging your riders when they get in you can tell by the riders tone when they get in your vehicle how that ride is going to go and even if you are not sure when you rate the customer I still give them a 5 but I put a note for example ride was good customer was frustrated about blah blah if customer rates me under 5 this is why just cover your self just in case you account is deactivated this what I started doing when my account got investigated I have even logged off after dropping riders to contact the safety team if I felt a rider would rate me below 5 for something that was not my fault.I hope this helps

I enjoy my work and would not jeopardize it I like to know what I did wrong it’s been over a month what happened to the investigation I don’t believe that was one

    • Cheryl says:

On Saturday July 24, 2021 I took Lyft Lux Black and left my wallet and phone in the SUV. We were able to get a hold of the driver and he returned to my house but would not give my wallet and phone back to me without taking $30 dollars cash out from me…I asked for my $30 back and said the Lyft policy is for Lyft to auto charge $15 to my card but he kept my $30 cash from my wallet and drove away. I have been reporting this to Lyft for days now , the case number is ******** and the unhelpful Rep is David Pereira has stated I am free to file a police report but I am still being charged the additional $15 from Lyft…well now isn’t this just fine and dandy! this really is just awful and I feel so helpless..Had the driver not taken my cash, I would have give him a nice tip for his time and trouble, but his brazen act was so outrageous I was just dumb founded.
